Cityfax Ltd is the UK's largest tie manufacturer and their client list includes the major high street retailers and many corporate customers. The company has been adapting to changing market conditions by broadening the range of products including, waistcoats, cravats, scarves, hats and gloves and by using offshore subcontract manufacturers.

Background

Cityfax had been looking for a computer system to manage their sales and manufacturing operations for some time, but had not found a suitable product. They had spoken to other bespoke developers but didn't feel they had appropriate business knowledge or could provide the comprehensive support and assistance required for a successful implementation.

Solution

Qi designed and developed a system that revolutionised management of information. It ensures everyone in the different Cityfax sites can instantly have accurate and up to date Sales and Margin information.

The system also allows their Chinese subcontractors secure remote access to selected information - order details, product specifications, components shipped to them.

It's a complex system - from order through to despatch via UK or subcontract manufacture, bills of material, job scheduling and costing, purchasing, stock control.

Result

Cityfax are using a computer system that fit's their needs exactly and can be amended and extended as the business grows.
